At TechOpus Fusion, we’re driving innovation in life sciences through practical research and data-driven solutions. Our current projects explore how modern technology and molecular biology can work together to solve real-world problems.
Here’s a look at what we’re working on right now.
1. Bioinformatics – NGS Pipeline
We are developing a powerful bioinformatics pipeline for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). This project focuses on creating a simple, reliable, and automated system that can handle everything from raw sequencing data to final analysis results. The NGS pipeline supports a range of studies including whole-genome, exome, and RNA sequencing.
Our pipeline uses trusted open-source tools like FastQC, BWA, and GATK and combines them with our own custom scripts. The goal is to ensure that data is processed quickly, accurately, and consistently every time. It also runs smoothly on cloud or high-performance computing systems, making it suitable for both small and large research labs.
We are adding features like variant identification, expression analysis, and visualization dashboards to help researchers make sense of their data. Each step is tested for accuracy and repeatability. This project aims to make genomic research faster, more accessible, and dependable for scientists and diagnostics teams everywhere.
2. PCR Primer Design
Our PCR Primer Design project is focused on creating better tools to design and test PCR primers for different molecular biology experiments. Good primer design is key for reliable PCR results, whether it’s for gene expression, diagnostics, or cloning work.
We start by analyzing DNA target sequences and use smart software to design primers with the right melting temperature, GC content, and structure. The system also checks that primers are specific and won’t bind to the wrong part of the genome. This helps avoid false or weak results.
After designing the primers, we test them in our lab to measure how well they perform in real PCR reactions. We check for efficiency, precision, and the absence of non-specific products. Over time, we’re building a large database of validated primers that can be reused and improved using machine learning. This project helps researchers save time and ensures consistent, high-quality PCR results.
3. GLP-1 Research
GLP-1, or Glucagon-Like Peptide-1, is a natural hormone that helps regulate blood sugar and appetite. It plays an important role in treating diabetes and obesity. Our GLP-1 research focuses on discovering new ways to improve its use in medicine.
We are studying how GLP-1 interacts with its receptors at the molecular level. Using computer simulations and laboratory tests, we’re searching for new compounds that can activate the GLP-1 pathway more effectively and safely. Our team also studies how GLP-1 changes gene activity and metabolism in different cell types.
To make treatments more effective, we’re exploring how to make GLP-1 last longer in the body through peptide modifications and better delivery systems. These studies help us understand how to design drugs that are more stable and easier to administer.
Through this project, TechOpus Fusion aims to support the development of the next generation of GLP-1–based therapies for metabolic diseases.
